There aren't many non-DLC weapons that retain the "s" size at level 4 and they're eclipsed in strength by medium and large weapons, so you're only hindering yourself by not upgrading or advancing to other weapons.įor the record, my impression of the whole series is that's it's very avant-garde, I think they're less focused on being fun and more experimental games aimed at a specific audience rather than general consumption.
You may find that upgrading / transforming a small sword into a medium will only affect the blade length and not swing speed, but you won't know unless you try it. It sounds like you're using False Pact Lv.2, but small / medium / large doesn't necessarily dictate speed, it mostly indicates size - for example, the Feral King's Wildblade is a large sword that swings quickly like a small sword Zero's Blade is faster than Two's, despite both being medium swords, etc. One of my complaints about Drakengard 3 is that there's no real incentive to try out more than a few weapons in each category (especially if you've unlocked the DLC weapons).
Like I said, that's the only one I had issue with when it came to truly game-hindering framerates, but I guess YMMV.Īnyhow, I'd tell you that you should really have been upgrading instead of purchasing, but you've learnt the hard way. I read your post the mission I'm talking about is Lost Verse 3.
